Spacious, private and a perfect retreat The Loft is accessed by a set of stairs to the first floor and is a split level conversion of a barn built in 1826. It has immense character showing many of its original features with exposed ship's beams and vaulted ceilings. It looks out on to the cobbled courtyard and Rake House. Luxury wool carpets, except for the kitchen and bathroom, which are tiled. This property is extremely spacious for 2 guests. It makes a perfect romantic hideaway and escape with large comfy sofa and chaise and cosy king size bed. The Loft is a fabulous property and our guests just love it!

The Loft has been accredited 4* GOLD by Visit Britain Quality in Tourism 

 

Rates
From £110.00 per night fully inclusive
The nightly rate quoted does not include Christmas & New Year breaks - please enquire separately.

Arrival/Departure
Guests can arrive from 4pm on any day for a minimum of a 2 night stay except for weekend breaks which start on a Friday.  Our departure time is 10am.

Booking
On reservation a 25% deposit is required or full payment if 8 weeks or less to arrival. Payments can be made via debit/credit cards (2% charge for credit card payments) or bank transfer (£10.00 fee if an international payment).

Accommodation

Bedroom:
King size bed with hotel style duvet.  Laura Ashley furniture and separate dressing room.
Bathroom:
Toilet and pedestal wash basin with large wall to wall Kudos walk-in shower cubicle and electric shower.
Kitchen:
Cream gloss kitchen with integrated appliances, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster , kettle and microwave oven.  Marks & Spencer crockery.
Living/DiningRoom:
Large L shaped leather Marks & Spencer sofa with chaise, Oak dining table with 4 high back leather chairs, Laura Ashley glass occasional table and Marks & Spencer striped foot stool.  32" TV with DVD player and Sony ipod docking station.
Outside:
Quirky 2 seat bench in teak provided and undercover parking for 1 vehicle,  please note there is a maximum vehicle height of 74 inches (1.88m) on entering the parking area for The Loft, which is suitable for most vehicles, but larger 4x4’s and similar height vehicles may need to check before entering or if you have air suspension please lower it! If you have such a vehicle it may well be necessary to park on the lane outside the gate.

Cleaning/towels/linen:
The Loft will have been professionally cleaned  for your arrival and all linen, towels and kitchen towels are provided and changed after 7 days (unless arranged sooner for an additional fee). Toilet rolls, hand wash, dish wash tablets, washing up liquid, bin bags, tea and fresh coffee are provided at the start of your stay.

Accessibility

Ground Floor:
Entrance hall from undercover carport with stairs leading to the first floor level. There are eleven 8” (20cm) steps, which are carpeted with a handrail to the left.
First Floor:
From the landing is a door to the large storage cupboard, kitchen and dining area that leads to the lounge, master bedroom, bathroom and dressing room:
Five open tread wooden stairs lead to:
Landing with door to the right for the bathroom, next right to the bedroom and straight ahead to the dressing room.
Master bedroom with Sealy king-size posture bed with hotel standard duvet and pillows with white cotton bed linen.
Dressing room with wardrobe, drawers, ironing board, iron and full length mirror.
Bathroom with large walk in Kudos cubicle with electric shower.

Lighting
Main lighting for all rooms is controlled by switches just inside each doorway. In the interests of helping the environment and saving energy as well as for health and safety reasons please ensure all lights and appliances are turned off on leaving the property.
Heating
All radiators throughout are thermostatically controlled.
Kitchen
A fire blanket is provided.
Lounge
In the interests of helping the environment and saving energy we would be grateful if you can turn down the thermostat on leaving the property.

TV (includes Freeview) and DVD are remote controlled and the controls are located next to the TV.
Bathroom
A non-slip bathmat is provided.
Internet
Wireless broadband is available through a secure network and is called The Courtyard Helsby. Details will be provided on how to gain access.
Guide Dogs
We welcome guide dogs but please advise us at the time of booking.
Allergies
The duvets and pillows we provide are a mixture of goosedown and hotel standard.  Please advise of any allergies when booking.
Smoking
No smoking is allowed throughout the property and smoke detectors are fitted throughout.
Waste & Recycling
The Courtyard supports the recycling policy of Cheshire West & Chester Council which has one of the highest recycling rates of any council. Under the carport is a green plastic box for cans and bottles and a red box for plastic bottles and a black bin is provided for general waste.  We would be grateful for your support in helping to look after our environment.
Health & Safety
To minimise the risk of fire please ensure when going out from the property that all appliances and lights are turned off at the wall. This includes making sure appliances such as the TV, DVD player etc are not left on standby. Please also ensure that no taps are left running.
